My name is Matthew Hutchinson and I was born and raised in NW Arkansas. I am a Navy veteran and currently work as a full time firefighter but my passion is for the great outdoors and fishing. I have been an avid fisherman since I could hold a rod and reel and I have been a fly fisherman for 15 plus years and have gained a vast amount of knowledge in the sport. I now want to share my experience and knowledge as a fishing guide and fly fishing teacher!

At Natural State Fly Fishing, I am passionate about fishing and sharing my knowledge with my customers. I strive to teach the amazing sport of fly fishing to every customer and provide the most memorable trip possible!

I am currently offering wade and boat trips for trout all year around.
I also offer wading smallmouth trips based on water conditions and wading and boat trips for white bass on a seasonal basis.
Fly fishing not your thing??
That's okay, I'm an avid fisherman of several techniques, such as baitcasting the lakes for all species of bass, spin casting in the rivers for trout and walleye, or even using ultralight tackle in the beautiful Ozark creeks.

Besides my 15+ years of fly fishing experience, I’m also licensed as a fishing guide in the state of Arkansas and insured. I try to stay in the loop on all things fly fishing, I’m a member of our local Trout Unlimited chapter, our local Backcountry Hunters & Anglers Chapter, and The American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA). I have 20+ years of knowledge and experience in the outdoors, I will try to make your fly fishing experience one you’ll remember forever!
